We offer free colour consulting as part of our service.

We consult with each client to determine the best product and colour combination. From there we compile a colour scheme for yours and our reference and future touch ups, this also outlines the placement, gloss level and brand.
We can also recommend colour placement according to architectural features.

We carry fan decks from all the major paint companies which holds about 1900 colours. If you’re doing it yourself, buying one of these can help a great deal, retailing for about $20 to $50.

Choosing a colour can be a difficult task for some and is important in creating the look you want.

But there are options you can take.
Check out your friends’ houses, your local shops, or if it’s exterior go for a walk or drive and look at what other people have done (take your camera). Take a look at some of the houses on this site. Look at your closet—your favourite colours are probably evident in your wardrobe. Why not try them on your walls?

Your local paint shop has free colour cards to take home. If you’re choosing blue for example, grab a blue you think you would like and then grab all the blues around it, approx. about 10 to 15 cards, and then some that are nothing like it so you know what track not to go down. Take them home and spread them out where you what to paint, tick the one you like but keep all the samples so you know you’ve made the right choice.

Computer colour matching
Most paint shops can scan a colour sample and match it very close. You need a clean flat piece no smaller than the size of a 50 cent coin.

Different paint companies can match other company’s colours. They all have each other’s paint codes, so for example if you have Dulux colour, you can go into a Solver shop and they can make it into an interior or exterior paint.

Sample pots
Most paint shops also have sample pots containing about 200ml costing about $7.00 covering about 3 square metres.

This is a great way to make sure you get the right colour. Make sure you wash the area and brush out the paint smooth.
